Sarah and Jennifer had riding lessons at a local stable. Jennifer fell twice. I think the instructor thought the girls were more advanced than they really were.
I tried to supplement our income by teaching riding lessons using our two best beginner horses. At times that was our only income. I really enjoyed teaching again, but I love riding even more.
Eventually, we had to sell almost all of our horses, and move in with friends in town. That was the hardest thing to do. It was our way of life.
We got in two last trips to crabtree falls before we left the mountains.
We will never forget Virginia. We learned a lot. We experienced things we never would have had a chance to if we hadn't lived there. We had a lot of really hard times, but we made friends that will last forever, and we had the most loving, caring chuch family. It was hard to leave, but we knew it was time to go home. We have no regrets about our time in Virginia and we will never forget it.
